PZL P.23 Kras(Carp) Bomber 1931

In the beginning of the thirtieth it is annual Poland, developing their Air Force, it approached the development of the new generation of the combat aircraft, which had to replace the biplanes, which were being used from the middle of the twentieth it was annual. In particular, VVS was required the universal aircraft, capable of carrying out reconnaissance missions and of delivering bomb attacks on ground targets. In the spring of 1931 as a result of prolonged consultations between the representatives OF VVS and industry were formulated requirement for the new machine - speed of approximately 300 km/h, bomb load is not less than 600 kg of bombs and the possibility of using the field airdromes. Project developed in accordance with these requirements obtained designation PZL P.23.

偵察爆撃機というカテゴリーに分類されるこの飛行機は、第二次世界大戦にポーランド空軍で活躍しました。
３名のCrewが搭乗し後部と機体下部には機関銃も搭載していました。ポーランドでは実機もまだ保管されているようです。
カラスと発音すると思われるポーランド語は日本語で鯉(こい)で、軍用機らしからぬニックネームです。
